a note from our founders

March 20, 2020

To our {she crew} community,

We want to thank you for the many years of your support, making memories with us, learning, and growing with us.

{she crew} will be intending to conclude programs this year.  As co-founders, we believe we have come to a transition that we must listen to. Endings are difficult. Nobody likes them. But they are often necessary for something else to begin.

As coronavirus has made our ability to meet in person impossible, we will not be having our annual Summer Intensive programming. We are, however, meeting digitally once a week, providing support for participants, and creating podcasting content. It is our intention to continue weekly digital meetups for the duration of the pandemic and to host an organization ending party when such gatherings are safe again.

We started {she crew} in 2014 to be a healing outlet and community for teen girls and gender-expansive youth who felt different and needed a safe space to be themselves. We are thankful that we have been able to provide that space for the many participants that we have seen grow older, taller, and wiser over our 6 years of programming.

We thank you so much for the support that you have shown us over this past year, and for many of you, even longer. Please continue to patron our social media for news on where your donations have gone and will be going in the future. We will also continue to put out new podcasting content on SHE CAST, so please give a listen. We already have a few episodes out from our final season and they are ready for your enjoyment! You can find SHE CAST on most podcast apps.

Stay home, and stay safe. We love you all.
